We are green and more importantly, our coffee is green. We truly care about our social, economic and environmental impact. As a 4th generation coffee family and a 4th generation retail family, we respect the land and our people. We have been farming coffee since 1890. All of our resources are treated with respect and care, always aiming to fulfill our partnership with mother nature.

Alongside ethical sourcing of beans, we use a Loring S35 Kestrel roaster in order to decrease our environmental impact.

Loring roasters use 80% less energy and emit 80% less greenhouse gases compared to regular roasters. This is equivalent to 54 passenger vehicles driving for one year, or 44 homes’ electricity use for one year! Use of a Loring is part of our mission to provide high quality coffee that is sustainably produced. We believe that great coffee does not need to have enormous environmental impact, so from farm to roastery we have tried to minimize needless emissions. This also means we can continue to do what we love, with minimal impact on the city we love.
